Okay-ish aero and an amazing engine; I remember going to the Shelby museum in Vegas long enough recall from the tours that if the design was more sleek like the Porsche 90X-series that Shelby and Pete Brock drew up as concepts than the finished product, it could have been a far superior car. That said, it did solve the aero issues with the original Cobra.

These were the original napkin sketches of the Daytona Coupe. They really didn't vary much from sketch to production.

Though there were some flaws found in the design that were supposed to be solved with the Daytona Super Coupe (including the addition of the 427). Unfortunately the project was killed off before the car was completed because Ford didn't want Shelby making a car that directly challenged the GT40.
